GLENDALE, Calif. — Five different Cougars scored in the College of the Canyons women's soccer team's 7-0 blowout win over Glendale on Friday.
After an 8-0 romp of Bakersfield three days earlier, COC followed up the big win with yet another, moving to 13-2-3 overall with a 10-1-1 conference record.
As if a seven-goal spread wasn't impressive enough, all of COC's goals came in the first half of action.
Astrid Perez got things going for COC in the 11th minute off of an assist from teammate Lauren Amara.
Kelsey Sherry followed soon after, scoring twice in a three-minute span to give COC a 3-0 lead in the 17th minute.
Yesenia Avilez added a score in the 25th minute,a nd Jennifer Brown later scored a goal.
COC's dominant forward Marissa Kneisel added two more goals to bring the score to 7-0.
Through 18 games Kneisel has been nearly unstoppable, scoring 18 goals and assisting 11 more.
The Cougars will next host West L.A. at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10.
