The College of the Canyons women's soccer team continued it winning ways on Friday, as the Cougars remained undefeated in conference play with a 3-0 road victory at Glendale College.
Canyons (5-1-4, 3-0-2) got the scoring going early with three first half goals, before letting its defense take control.
COC freshman defender Courtney Ravenell broke the game open with an unassisted goal in the opening moments, and from there the Cougars never looked back.
A few minutes later freshman forward Amanda Balzer was able to extend the COC lead at 2-0, thanks to an assist from freshman Hanna Halstead.
Before things had a chance to settle down sophomore Lucy Maino put together a scoring play, with an assist from Astrid Perez, to put COC in the driver's seat at 3-0.
Neither team was able to score in the second half, with Canyons goalkeepers Kianna Hemphill and Jordan Burrow combining for the shutout.
Head coach Justin Lundin and the Cougars will return home to face West L.A. college on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
