Cougars Push Streak to Four, Win 6-0 at West L.A.
Canyons (7-3-1, 4-0-1) remains unbeaten vs. Western State Conference (WSC), South Division opponents, including four straight victories.

College of the Canyons traveled to West L.A. College on Tuesday, returning home with another conference victory, this time by a 6-0 final score.
Canyons (7-3-1, 4-0-1) remains unbeaten vs. Western State Conference (WSC), South Division opponents, including four straight victories.
The Cougars scored three goals within the first eight minutes and another in the 18th minute to top off the scoring for the first half.
Goalkeeper Zoe MacDonald started in net, earning the shutout victory for Canyons.
COC freshman Rebekah Brooks put the opening goal away in the first minute of the game to bring her total to nine on the season.
Shortly after, freshman Lauryn Bailey found the back of the net twice — in the fifth and eighth minutes — to bring the score to 3-0. Bailey now has five goals this season.
Sophomore Maggie Maldonado, closed out the goal scoring for the first half with her third of the season in the 18th minute.
Soon after the second half began, COC freshman Lizeth Gutierrez-Cervantes resumed the scoring with her fourth of the season in the 51st minute.
Freshman Jenavieve Mendoza followed suit, adding another goal in the 54th minute, bringing a cap to the goal scoring at 6-0.
With just six regular season games remaining on the schedule, Canyons returns to action at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 vs. Citrus College.
