No. 25 Canyons Runs Streak to Four in Sweep vs. West LA
Canyons (10-10, 8-2) has lost just two matches dating back to Oct. 13.

No. 25 College of the Canyons won its fourth straight match in the form of a 3-0 victory over West L.A. College that also got the Cougars back to .500 for the season. Set scores were 25-23, 25-15, 25-11.
Canyons (10-10, 8-2) has played well of late having dropped just two matches dating back to Oct. 13. The straight sets victory over the Wildcats (4-12, 1-6) was the first during the current four-game streak. The win also improved Canyons to a 4-5 mark on its home floor.
The Cougars utilized a balanced attack with 11 players registering kills in the game and 17 players scoring points.
Breanna Kelley and Sahliyah Ravare led the way with seven kills each. Kelley also added three block assists to her totals. Ravare's seven kills came on just eight attempts.
Ariana Vargas was next with six kills, five digs and three block assists.
Caitlin Liebe's five kills and two assisted blocks and Damani Harvey's four kills and six digs rounded out the Canyons scoring leaders.
Cecillia Giovannini had a team-high four aces. Rhiannon Boddy finished with three aces and seven digs.
Abby Sherman was the team leader with 13 digs and 21 assists and added an ace. Isabella Embleton was also a weapon with three aces.
The Cougars will be making a postseason push with just three games left on the regular season schedule.
COC next travels to conference opponent Citrus College at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10.
Canyons then returns home for a conference matchup vs. Antelope Valley at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 in the Cougar Cage.
The regular season finale comes at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16 in a WSC crossover match vs. a Northern Division opponent. Matchups will be determined by the final standings in the WSC South and North divisions.
COC currently sits second in the WSC, South standings behind conference leader Bakersfield College (16-1, 9-0).
