Matthew Tapia begins his first season as equipment technician for the Cougars.

Tapia's duties includes handling the storing, issuing, receiving and repairing of athletic equipment for the college's 17 intercollegiate athletic programs.

Prior to arriving at the college, Tapia worked with the William S. Hart Union School District in a student support role for more than 15 years.

Tapia is married to his wife, Megan, and has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for more than 40 years.
