Registration Open for 2024 All Sports Youth Camp hosted by Canyons Football
The 2024 All Sports Youth Camp hosted by the College of the Canyons Football Program is offering its inaugural session this June, with registration now open for boys and girls ages 6 to 12.
Designed as a fun week of sports and training for campers, each day's activities will be held in the college's athletic facilities and led by coaches and players from the college's 14-time conference champion football program.
"The College of the Canyons football program is very excited to host our first All Sports Youth Camp," said COC football head coach Ted Iacenda. "Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just getting started, our coaches and players are here to help guide and inspire you every step of the way."
Sports featured during the week's activities include baseball, basketball, flag football, golf, hockey, soccer, swimming, track & field, volleyball, as well as games like dodge ball, kick ball, relay races and more. Campers can also expect to participate in other sport-specific drills and competitions related to each featured activity.
The college's Cougar Stadium, East P.E. Gymnasium, Soccer Facility, Whitten Field and Cougar Natatorium facilities will all be utilized.
"Growing up, I spent lots of time at sports camps, making friends, exploring new and exciting games, and developing a love of sports," Iacenda said. "It's my hope that we can provide that same type of experience for our campers.
"So grab your gear, lace up those sneakers and get ready to unlock your full potential, as we make this summer camp experience one for the memory books."
The 2024 All Sports Youth Camp will run during the following dates and times:
- June 10-14 – 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (M/T/W/TH/F)
A $250 per player registration fee applies to each session. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.
Campers are encouraged to bring athletics shoes, swim trunks, baseball/softball glove, water/water bottle, snacks, sunscreen and a great attitude to learn and have fun.
Proceeds directly support the Canyons football program.
