College of the Canyons hosts Bakersfield College at Cougar Stadium in a Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Division, Northern League contest on Saturday, Nov. 9. Kickoff is 12 p.m.
Saturday's game is being broadcast to fans free of charge via YouTube on the Cougars Sports Network through a partnership with SoCalCollegeSports.com.

COC is ranked No. 12 in the state according to the most recent JC Athletic Bureau Head Coaches Poll released Nov. 4. The Cougars are also ranked No. 10 in the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) poll. Bakersfield is No. 14 in the coaches poll and shares the No. 13 position in the CCCSIA ranking.
Canyons (6-2, 4-1) used a 24-point second quarter, highlighted by a 95-yard kickoff return from Da'Marrie Smith, to outlast visiting Moorpark College 27-21 last Saturday at Cougar Stadium. Tyrell Brown was named the Chick-Fil-A of Valencia Player of the Game after finishing the contest with four total tackles, 1.5 sacks and a crucial interception.
Bakersfield (5-3, 3-2) put away an impressive 45-27 home win over No. 4 Ventura College to shake up the National Division, Northern League standings in week eight. The Renegades outscored VC 14-3 in the final frame to claim the decisive victory.
Canyons and Bakersfield also did battle in 2023 with the Renegades earning a 35-21 victory at their place.
With two games remaining on the regular season schedule Canyons is tied with Ventura, a game behind No. 9/11 El Camino in the conference standings. Bakersfield is two games back of the conference top spot.
