Santa Ana and Canyons Play To Draw

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons men's soccer team received a late goal by sophomore Abel Hinojosa that evened the score at 1-1 against Santa Ana College in a non-conference match on Friday afternoon.

Hinojosa's goal came from a feed by sophomore teammate Arnoldo Macias.

Santa Ana out shot Canyons, 11-9, and the Cougars were led by Uriel Rodriguez and Jesus Salazar with two shots each. Sophomore goal keeper Alex Burkevics collected his second win of the year and tallied two saves in goal.

COC will host Compton on Friday, Sept. 23 in the team's last non-conference game of the year.
