The College of the Canyons soccer team followed one dominant win with another, defeating Allan Hancock 6-1 on Tuesday following a similar offensive explosion at Moorpark just four days earlier.
During its three-game winning streak, COC has outscored opponents 14-2. In total, the Cougars (5-1-2, 3-0-2) have outscored opponents 21-7 this season. Canyons has not lost a game since dropping a 2-1 contest to Taft College on Sept. 2.
COC jumped out to a 3-0 first half lead courtesy of goals by freshman defender Omar Navarro, sophomore forward Thomas Pugliese and freshman forward Andres Lozano.
The Cougars followed up that effort with two second half goals from sophomore forward Philip Boscacci, and a final score from freshman midfielder Abdiel Harrison.
COC is undefeated thus far in Western State Conference play, having beaten Allan Hancock, Moorpark and Santa Barbara City College, and drawing with Santa Monica and Glendale College.
The Cougars will host Citrus College at 4 p.m. Friday Oct. 3, on the college's upper field.
