LEMOORE, Calif. — The College of the Canyons men's soccer team lost a 1-0 heartbreaker against West Hills Lemoore College on Saturday. The Cougars gave up a go-ahead goal in the final seconds to drop the match 1-0.
The loss extends the Cougars' current three-game winless streak to open the 2015 season.
In the 90th minute, West Hills Lemoore's Jordan Neves scored an unassisted goal to put the Eagles ahead and on their way to a 1-0 victory.
The Cougars were shut out for the first time this season and have only scored two goals in their first three games.
Head coach Philip Marcelin's club will look to get its first win of the season when it travels to Santa Monica College at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
