The College of the Canyons men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with conference rival Santa Barbara City College on Friday night, with the Cougars coming away with their second draw of the season vs. the Vaqueros.
COC and SBCC also played to a 3-3 draw at Cougar Stadium on Sept. 22.
Canyons (3-4-7, 3-2-6) is now unbeaten in its last nine games, with three wins and six draws over that span. The Cougars are currently in fourth place in the Western State Conference.
COC played from behind for much of the game, after the Vaqueros established a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute of play.
Canyons did not get on the scoreboard until defensemen Anthony Salvadori scored a goal in the 81st minute, to make it a 1-1 contest. Midfielder Skyler Kell was credited with an assist on the play.
COC goalkeeper Cristian Arriaga continued his strong season in net, as the freshman stopped eight of the nine shots he faced.
Head coach Phil Marcellin and the Cougars will next travel to Moorpark College at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
