A back and forth battled ended in 2-2 draw for College of the Canyons after traveling to Citrus College on Tuesday afternoon.
COC's Cesar Perez recorded the first goal of the match and put the Cougars ahead in the 18th minute.
Shortly after, in the 31st minute, Citrus' Fernando Alfaro answered back, putting one past COC's goalkeeper Alexander Rivas. The score brought the first half to an end at 1-1.
The second half did not start in favor of the Cougars as they gave up a penalty kick in the first 30 seconds. The Owls' Andres Ortega found the back of the net against Rivas to put his side ahead 2-1, leaving Canyons to fight for the tie.
Their hard work paid off in the 64th minute when COC's Drew Leskin scored his first goal of the season to tie it up for the Cougars.
Both teams had several more opportunities to take the advantage but put up a good fight, eventually brining the game to an end at 2-2.
Rivas was in net for the full 90 minutes and recorded two saves, with the two goals against.
Canyons (5-6-7, 1-1-3) will be on the road again vs. Glendale at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
