Despite having some chances, College of the Canyons suffered a 3-0 home loss to conference opponent Bakersfield College on Friday.
Canyons (4-11-2, 2-2-1) tallied 11 shots in the game, including four potential shots on goal, but could not get on the board.
Bakersfield (6-6-5, 3-0-2) scored its first goal in the 9th minute on a corner kick from Anthony Miron, who managed to get a touch on the ball on a header that got past Canyons goalkeeper Matthew Swanson.
Later, with the Cougar defense late to get back on the other end of the pitch Bakersfield was able to extend its advantage at 2-0 in the 27th minute on a goal from Angel Sandoval.
The match ended with a last-minute push and final goal from Bakersfield via a long range shot from Jose Medina, finalizing the score at 3-0.
The Cougars return to action by traveling to Citrus College on Tuesday, Nov. 1. First touch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
