Canyons Sees Six Named to All-WSC, South Squad

College of the Canyons men's soccer had six players earn All-Western State Conference (WSC), South Division honors for the 2022 season.
For the second year in a row sophomore Drew Leskin received All-WSC, South Division First-Team honors. He was joined by freshman Tom Larcier on the First-Team.
Leskin's versatility placed him across the midfield and on the front line throughout the season. Playing in a total of 19 games, Leskin finished the season with two goals and four assists.
Holding down the midfield and defense for the Cougars, Larcier finished the season with the team-high 13 points and five goals, two of which were game-winning scores.
Representing Canyons on the All-WSC Second-Team squad are sophomore Jason Arana and freshman Lance Brdaric.
Arana saw action in 17 games controlling the backline and midfield, recording two goals, one of which was a game-winner. Brdaric was instrumental in keeping the back line organized in his 13 games played,
COC sophomore Jason Nakoud and freshman Alec Fryer each earned Honorable Mention selections.
Nakoud worked on the frontline producing three goals in his 19 appearances for the Cougars. Fryer also recorded three goals, tacking on an assist while managing the midfield for COC in his 18 games played.
Canyons finished the 2022 campaign at a record of 4-13-3 with a mark of 2-4-2 vs. conference opponents, to finish fourth in the WSC, South Division. The Cougars also made program history by hosting the Tahitian U20 National Team for the first international match in program history.
