Inaugural COC Softball Alumni Game Attracts More Than 30 Former Players

The College of the Canyopns Softball Program hosted its Inaugural Alumni Softball Game on Saturday, Jan. 31, with more than 30 former players taking part in the event.

The team of alumni players — which featured players with ties to the program dating back to the 2002 season — took part in a five-inning scrimmage against COC's 2015 team.

Former COC softball head coaches — and COC Athletic Hall of Famers — Ray Whitten and Lee Smelser served as coaches for the alumni team.
