In the sixth, Post and Rivas each had two RBIs before Micayla Aguilar flied out to centerfield, allowing Natsuki Kameyama to score.
The scoring did not stop there for Canyons. In the second game the Cougars plated eight more runs.
Torres had two RBIs in the second inning and Sierra Boyajian doubled in the third inning bringing Post home and making it a 3-0 score.
In the fifth and final inning, Post had an RBI and soon after scored due to an error by Cuesta's third-baseman off a hit ball by Boyajian. Post ended the second game 2-for-2 at the plate with one RBI and a walk.
Later in the inning Aguilar stepped up, doubled and Boyajian crossed home plate for an unearned run. Camryn Webb also doubled to bring in Aguilar. Webb capped off the score with an unearned run after Torres was caught stealing at second base.
Canyons starting pitcher Megan Wilson (13-6) posted three strike outs and allowed five hits to get the win.
Torres went 2-for-2 in the first game and 2-for-3 in the second matchup, brining in two RBIs each game.
