Cougars Even Record With Win Over Taft
The College of the Canyons women’s basketball team recorded its first 100+ point game of the season on Wednesday night as the Cougars dismantled the visiting Taft Cougars, 115-67, at Cougar Cage.
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The College of the Canyons women's basketball team recorded its first 100+ point game of the season on Wednesday night as the Cougars dismantled the visiting Taft Cougars, 115-67, at Cougar Cage.
The win evens Canyons' record at 3-3 on the season. The Cougars led from the jump as COC opened up a 35-4 lead at the nine-minute mark of the first half.
Taft would come as close as 18 points two time at the start of the second half, but never could get a grip on the Cougar lead.
COC was led by Kelly O'Linn with 22 points and three Cougars tallied double-doubles – Andrea Bobic had 21 points and 16 boards, Brittany Bradley recorded 21 points and 10 assists and Charity Smith scored 16 points and 10 rebounds.
