Cougars Rebound with Victory Over Sierra College
College of the Canyons won its first game of the season Saturday, trouncing Sierra College in convincing fashion, 79-58, in the Cougars’ second game of the Mt. SAC Tip-Off tourney.
WALNUT, Calif. - College of the Canyons won its first game of the season Saturday, trouncing Sierra College in convincing fashion, 79-58, in the Cougars' second game of the Mt. SAC Tip-Off tourney.
Canyons (1-1) flaunted a well-balanced attack throughout the contest, with double-digit point totals registered by guard Brittney Bradley (17), forward Charity Smith (17), forward Lindsay Knox (13) and guard Jasmine Crayon (11). Knox also snagged seven rebounds to compliment forward Ashley Wakefield's game leading 13 boards.
The Cougars shot a combined 52.5 percent from the floor, despite going 0-for-5 from behind the arc.
