SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Ashley Wakefield scored a season high 30 points against Taft College on Friday evening, helping the Cougars easily defeat Taft, 82-57, in a non-conference match up. Sophomore Wakefield exceeded her previous season high of 25 that she scored against Chaffey College on Dec. 18, 2009. Wakefield also added 13 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season. Ashley Mason had another great game off the bench with 14 points and five rebounds. COC will return to its conference season on Wednesday, Jan. 13 as they travel to Bakersfield for a 5 p.m. contest.
