Cougars Notch 16th Conseutive Win

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - College of the Canyons Kelli Lewis and Ashley Wakefield combined for 47 points on Wednesday night, helping COC to their 16th consecutive win and a 85-53 victory against L.A. Valley.

COC improved to 9-0 in the Western State Conference, South division, with just three more conference games left in the season.

The Cougars only trailed in the first three minutes, as the Monarchs took at two-point lead, but the Cougars wouldn't let that last long, building up a 32-point lead to end the game.

Ashley Wakefield had another double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Lewis had 23 points and five assists.

The Cougars travel to Santa Monica on Saturday, Feb. 13 for a 5 p.m. match up.
