Canyons Makes It 18 Games Straight
The College of the Canyons women’s basketball team remained undefeated in conference after beating Glendale 80-66 on Wednesday night.
GLENDALE, Calif. - The College of the Canyons women's basketball team remained undefeated in conference after beating Glendale 80-66 on Wednesday night.
Dominique Turner came off the bench to score 22 points and Joslynn Frazier added 21 to help the Cougars extend their winning streak to 18 games. Ashley Wakefield continued to dominate the hardwood with another double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
The Cougars will face Citrus College on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 5 p.m., where they will have the opportunity to finish undefeated in conference play for the second year in a row. The game against the Owls marks the last regular season home game for College of the Canyons.
In honor of the sophomore players and their families, Saturday will be Sophomore Night, where prior to the start of the game the second-year players will be recognized.
