Lewis Breaks School Record In Conference Road Opener

CULVER CITY, Calif. - Sophomore guard Kelli Lewis tallied nine 3-pointers on Wednesday night to break a school record and lead COC to its first conference win of the season against West L.A. 89-62.
Lewis, who had 32 in the game, passes former Cougar Andrea Bobic who nailed eight 3-pointers in a 2008 game.
Also adding to the scoring was Jazzmyn Davis with 11 points and 18 rebounds and Dominique Turner who turned in 11 points and 12 assists.
The win improved the Cougars to 12-6 and 1-0 in conference play. The victory also marked the programs 26th consecutive conference win, dating back to the 2008 season.
COC will host Bakersfield on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m. for its conference home opener.
