SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Freshman Jazzmyn Davis scored 18 points and pulled down 17 rebounds and the College of the Canyons women's basketball team beat Santa Monica 100-68.
After a slow start to the game, COC only had a two-point lead, 16-14, at the halfway mark of the first half. But the Cougars responded with a 33-9 run to end the half and take a 32-point lead into halftime.
It was more COC in the second half as Canyons went up by as many as 37 in the second half.
Davis notched her 12th double-double of the season and Tinky Dahte had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Cougars.
COC will host its final regular season home game of the year on Wednesday, Feb. 16 as they host Glendale at 7 p.m.
