COC Falls To Mt. SAC

For 35 minutes, the Cougars went toe-to-toe with the state's pre-season No. 1 team, before stumbling towards the end and dropping a 60-50 game to the Mounties in the semi-finals of the Mt. SAC Tip-Off Classic on Saturday.

WALNUT, Calif. - For 35 minutes, the Cougars went toe-to-toe with the state's pre-season No. 1 team, before stumbling towards the end and dropping a 60-50 game to the Mounties in the semi-finals of the Mt. SAC Tip-Off Classic on Saturday.

With 10:02 remaining in the second half, the Cougars took the lead by one point behind Angelica Sahagun's 16 points, but were outscored 10-2 down the stretch to go down to Mt. SAC.

Sahagun added 10 rebounds in the contest. No other Cougars scored in double figures.

COC will face No. 6 San Bernardino Valley in tomorrow's third-place game at 1 p.m.
