Women's Basketball Team's Second-Round Playoff Game Postponed To Saturday
The College of the Canyons women's basketball CCCAA Southern California Regional Second Round game against Pasadena City College has been postponed, due to a power outage at the school, and will be played on Saturday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons women's basketball CCCAA Southern California Regional Second Round game against Pasadena City College has been postponed, due to a power outage at the school, and will be played on Saturday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
Due to heavy rain across Southern California, Pasadena City College Superintendent-President Dr. Mark W. Rocha closed the main PCC campus at noon, as a safety precaution. The school cancelled all Friday athletic events, including the women's basketball playoff game.
The College of the Canyons women's basketball team was tabbed as the No. 13 seed in the 2014 CCCAA Women's Basketball Regional Championships and are slated to take on No. 4 Pasadena City College in second-round action.
The winner of the game will take on the winner of No. 5 Long Beach City/No. 12 Mt. San Jacinto game on Wednesday, March 5.
