Bio

Chayan Lowery begins her secondyear as an assistant coach with the College of the Canyons women’s basketball program in 2023-24.

Lowery’s responsibilities include on-court support to head coach John Wissmath while instructing the program’s players on the rules and regulations of the sport along with the fundamentals and techniques of championship basketball. Her goals as an assistant coach are to continue learning more about the game of basketball and to encourage and help student-athletes move on to the next stage of both their academic and athletic careers.

Prior to coaching at COC, Lowery served as an assistant coach with the varsity girls basketball program at Trinity Classical Academy during the 2021-22 season.

Lowery also played collegiately for two seasons at The Master’s University (2014-2016).

In her prep career Lowery starred at Christian High School (2010-2014) in El Cajon, where she was named the 2012-13 Central League Player of the Year and was an ESPN Cal-Hi Sports All-State Girls Team nominee. 

Lowery currently resides in Santa Clarita, with her son LoneWolf.
