Cougars In Fifth After First 18 Holes At Southern California Championship

SOLVANG, Calif. - The College of the Canyons women's golf team sits in a tie for fifth place after the first round of the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Championship on Sunday at Alisal Ranch Golf Course. The Cougars careded a 347 and are in a tie with College of the Desert after 18 holes. 

Santa Barbara City College leads the six-team field with a 311 and Fullerton College is close behind in second with a 318. 

Sophomores Madison Lomas and Kaylie Sadlon tallied 85s, while sophomore Ashley Winsdor turned in an 86. Sophomore Chelsea Reed had an 89 on the day. 

The Cougars will return to Alisal Ranch for the last 18 holes of the tournament.
