Canyons Places Third at WSC Tourney No. 7
The Cougars will next compete in the WSC Finals Nov. 1-2 at Alisal River Golf Course in Solvang.
The College of the Canyons women's golf team finished in third place at Western State Conference (WSC) Tourney No. 7 on Monday, with the Cougars carding a four-player score of 333 at Simi Hills Golf Course.
Canyons would finish behind second place Citrus College (323) and event champion Santa Barbara City College (315).
COC sophomore Tiffany Whittaker had the best finish for the Cougars with a score of 77 to place fifth individually.
Sophomore Julia Youn followed right behind with a 79 to place sixth and Amanda Horii rounded out the tournament's top-10 with a score of 87.
