OCEANSIDE, Calif. – College of the Canyons earned its first victory of the season with a 4-0 rout of Mira Costa College.
COC midfielder Astrid Perez and forward Marissa Kneisel netted their first goals of the young season.
Midfielder Natalie Mitchell added two goals of her own to round out the score sheet and ensuring the Cougar victory. Midfielder Jennifer Mendez also added an assist.
The victory improves COC's record to 1-1-1.
College of the Canyons returns to Cougar Stadium for their home opener against Moorpark College on Tuesday Sept. 9.
