Canyons Wins Third Straight 4-0 vs. Bakersfield
Cougars (8-5-3, 5-2-2) have outscored opponents by a 13-2 margin during the current streak.

College of the Canyons pushed its win streak to three games with a 4-0 home shutout of Bakersfield College on Tuesday.
Canyons (8-5-3, 5-2-2) continues to play well having outscored opponents by a 13-2 margin during the current streak. COC has also won five of its last six games.
The Cougars saw four players net goals with the first coming off the foot of Araceli Castaneda in the game's ninth minute of action. Castaneda leads the Cougars nine goals on the year. Briana De Santiago was credited with the assist.
In the 24th minute Castaneda returned the favor with a nice touch that found its way to Brooke Chambers, who promptly booted the ball past the keeper for her eighth score of the season and a 2-0 advantage.
Canyons recorded 16 shots in the game, including seven in the first half.
Already leading 2-0 to begin the second half the Cougars wasted little time in relaunching its attack.
Emily Perez was the next to score, with her goal coming in the 54th minute on an assist by Maggie Maldonado. The goal was the fourth of the season for Perez while the assist was Maldonado's sixth, a number that continues to lead the squad.
Maldonado would later give the Cougars a late insurance goal, her fifth of the year, in the 86th minute to cap the evening's scoring. Gracell Magnaye earned as assist on the play.
COC goalkeeper Aaliyah Lopez (7-5-3) recorded just one save in earning the win.
Bakersfield (2-10-3, 0-5-3) recorded three shots in the game and one corner kick.
Canyons will host Santa Monica College (10-3-3, 7-1-1) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
The Corsairs will enter the match as the second place team in the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division. COC is currently in third, five points behind SMC.
