College of the Canyons completed the 2024 season with an overall record of 13-7, including its 9-5 Western State Conference (WSC) mark and third place finish. The Cougars started out the season with a six-match win streak and saw program history established at the hands of freshman Sydney Tamondong and Estrella Segura. Though the Cougars fell in the opening round of the 3C2A SoCal Regional playoffs, they were successful in seeing five players advance from the WSC Singles and Doubles Tournament, bringing six players to the 3C2A State Singles and Doubles Championship Tournament where Tamondong and Segura made program history advancing to the round of 16 at the state tourney. Tamondong was also the first player in program history to advance to the round of 16 at the state tourney and be named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Team.

College of the Canyons finished fifth in the Western State Conference (WSC) in its fifth season as a program. Finishing with a 6-9 overall record and 5-7 in conference, the Lady Cougars saw a few players qualify for the CCCCAA State Champion Tournament in Ojai. Sophomores Lexi Paunovic and Ashley Villarta represented COC in singles competition. Meanwhile, the pair of Paunovic and Jennifer Russell worked through the WSC Tournament and also advanced to the State Tourney. The doubles duo of Villarta and Ellie Wingo also represented Canyons at the State Tournament.

College of the Canyons completed an historic season by winning the program’s first Western State Conference (WSC) championship and advancing to the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs, another first for the Lady Cougars. Canyons posted an overall record of 13-3 including a perfect 12-0 run through the conference schedule. No. 4 COC played postseason host to No. 5 College of the Desert falling victim to a 6-3 final result. Sophomores Jennifer Russell (No. 3 singles) and Lauren Hannah (No. 6 singles) were named All-WSC First Team at season's end, while freshmen Lexi Paunovic (No. 2 singles) and Hannah Heiber (No. 5 singles) earned All-WSC Second Team honors. On the doubles side, the team of Lauren Neal and Heiber (No. 3 doubles) were all All-WSC Second Team. Russell and Hannah joined former Cougar Una Stanisavljevic (2019) as the only All-WSC First-Team selections in the program's young history. Neal and Heiber were the second doubles duo to earn All-WSC Second Team awards, following in the footsteps of Marisa Wambolt/Nicole Villarta (2019). Additionally, COC head coach Patty LaBat was named the WSC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year. LaBat ended the 2022 campaign 35-24 in her coaching career at COC which includes a shortened 2020 campaign and the 2021 season cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

College of the Canyons stormed out to an impressive 9-2 record before having the 2020 season end with back-to-back rain outs and the eventual cancellation of all contests due to the COVID-19 crisis. In just its third season of competition COC head coach Patty LaBat had the program poised to compete for its first Western State Conference (WSC) title. Featuring a starting lineup made up of all SCV-area student-athletes, Canyons notched a six-match win streak to start the season culminating with a home conference win vs. Ventura College on Feb. 11. Additionally, COC was a flawless 4-0 vs. road opponents including a key earlier-season victory vs. WSC rival Santa Monica College. Freshman Mary MacAdam was a perfect 11-0 in singles competition while Jennifer Russell went 10-1 on the shortened season. Sophomore Nicole Villarta and freshman Taylor Cohen combined to go 7-2 in doubles play. Conference and statewide awards were not presented for the 2020 season. COC sophomore Una Stanisavljevic was named one of the COC athletic department's Student-Athlete Academic Excellence Award winners for the 2019-20 academic year.

College of the Canyons women’s tennis took a major leap forward in 2019, just the program’s second year of existence. Canyons finished the year with an overall record of 9-7, including a 9-5 mark vs. conference opponents. Those results placed COC third in the conference standings and represented a five-win increase for the Lady Cougars compared to its inaugural 2018 campaign. Canyons rattled off five straight victories between Feb. 26 and March 12 to help boost its position in the standings. COC then sent five players to compete in the 64-player WSC singles tourney, with freshmen Una Stanisavljevic and Nicole Villarta joined by sophomore Marisa Wambolt competing as ranked players. COC’s doubles team of Stanisavljevic and Seleste Sakato finished runner-up at the WSC Doubles Championships after a tough loss in the championship match. Stanisavljevic/Sakato then moved on to compete in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Championships. COC was also represented by the doubles pair of Wambolt/Villarta at the regional championships in Ojai. Canyons also had two players compete in singles action at the regional championships with Stanisavljevic and Villarta both qualifying on that side. Stanisavljevic was an All-WSC Second-Team selection in singles competition, while Wambolt/Villarta were named All-WSC Second-Team for their performance on the doubles circuit.

College of the Canyons launched its women’s tennis team with the program’s historic inaugural season in 2018. The Cougars took the court for the first time on Feb. 3, 2018, vs. defending state champion Orange Coast College. The all-freshman Canyons squad attracted a crowd of more than 50 students, staff members and tennis supporters who were on hand to witness what turned out to be a 9-0 defeat for the Cougars. COC head coach Patty LaBat led the team to a 4-12 overall record which included home/road wins over conference opponents Antelope Valley and Victor Valley College. That mark placed COC sixth in the Western State Conference. Canyons concluded the season by sending four student-athletes to the 2018 CCCAA Southern California regional tournament after having two of its doubles teams qualify to compete. The doubles duo of Jenny Cranert and Leilani Figalan was joined by the team of Marisa Wambolt and Brienna Best at the CCCAA Singles & Doubles Championships held in Ojai.
