Canyons Moves Past Citrus as Win Streak Reaches 12 Games

Head coach Lisa Hooper continues to see the COC volleyball team play at a high level, as the Cougars have now won 12 straight games — including eight straight conference matches — to improve their record to 16-3 on the season.
In COC's 3-1 (25-15, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16) victory against Citrus College on Friday, the Cougars received an impressive performance from sophomore standout Serena LeDuff who posted a game-high 21 kills and 11 digs.
The Cougars also had three players finish with nine kills, as Kaitlyn Reiner (11.5 points), Lauren Underwood (16.5 points) and Brooke Garelick (10.5 points) each found the stats sheet on Friday.
Other key contributors included Angelica Gonzalez who posted 11 digs and Taylor Kasha who finsihed with an impressive 44 assists, four digs and three kills.
The No. 15 state ranked COC volleyball team (16-3, 8-0) continues to dominate the opposition. During the current win streak streak head Coach Hooper's team has dropped just five sets en route to its current first-place spot in the WSC South standings.
Canyons will look to continue its streak when the Cougars host Glendale College at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7.
