Frequently Asked Questions About College of the Canyons Athletics
1. I am interested in becoming a Cougar student-athlete and want
more information, who should I contact?
Prospective student-athletes are encouraged to fill out
the prospective athlete form, which is sent
directly to the coach of the sport they are interested in.
Prospective student-athletes can also reach coaches directly from
the Athletic Staff page.
2. How do I get to College of the Canyons?
College of the Canyons in conveniently located off the
Interstate-5 freeway off the Valencia Boulevard or McBean Parkway
exits. Click here for a map.
3. Where are the athletic facilities located on the
campus?
All of COC's athletic facilities are located on the north end of
campus, off the Valencia Boulevard exit off the Interstate-5
freeway. Please click here for a map of the campus and find more detailed
directions and closest parking lots below. Handicap parking is
located in lots 3, 5, 8 and 9.
Cougar Stadium (Football, soccer, track and
field) - Cougar Stadium is located on the northwest
edge of the campus. The stadium runs parallel to Valencia
Boulevard. Parking can be found in lots 7 and 8.
Baseball/Softball Fields - Cougar Field and
Ray Whitten Field is located on the west side of the campus and
south of the football field. Visitors can park in lot 8 and walk
south on Stadium Way to reach the ballparks or in lot 9.
Upper Field (Soccer) - The Upper Field is
adjacent to lots 5, 6 and 7 and east of the football stadium. The
closest parking to the upper field is lot 5.
Cougar Cage (Basketball and volleyball) -
The Cougar Cage is south of the Upper Field and tennis courts in
the West Physical Education building. If standing in lot 5, the gym
is located behind the building marked North Commons. The closest
parking is in lot 5 and 6.
4. How much is parking?
Campus Safety will not enforce
parking permit regulations in lots 4-9, two hours before the
game and one hour after the game. This rule applies to any
intercollegiate game or scrimmage where there is a visiting team.
If you wish to visit during practice or any other time that is not
a game or scrimmage, you will need to buy a daily
permit. You can purchase a parking permit from the
permit vending machines, located in lot 6, lot 8 and South Lot 15,
section A, which requires $2 in coins or dollar bills for an all
day parking permit good in any student lot.
5. How much is it to attend
College of the Canyons athletic events?
College of the Canyons charges admission for football, night
soccer games and women's and men's basketball games during the
regular season and range from $5-$8 for adults. Children, student
and staff ticket prices range from $3-$6. Prices are subject to
change. There is an admission charge for every sport if College of
the Canyons is hosting a post-season competition. Prices vary by
sport.
6. How can I follow what is going on with College of the
Canyons athletics?

7. Are the College of the Canyons' track, swimming pool,
or another facilites open for public use?
Unfortunately, none of the COC athletic facilities are open for
public use, due to insurance liability issues. The only time
someone is allowed on the facilities is when a student has
registered for a kinesiology class and is using the facility during
the allotted class time.
8. Can I rent out the College of the Canyons athletic
facilities?
