Brian Kimble enters his 11th year and 10th season as an assistant coach with the College of the Canyons men’s basketball program, having joined the program during the 2014-15 campaign.

Prior to arriving at COC, Kimble served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Hart High, working under head coach Tom Kelley. While there he helped coach the program to the 2013-14 Foothill League Title.

As a player at Hart, Kimble helped lead the Indians to the 2006-07 Foothill League Title in his senior season. That year Kimble also earned Foothill League MVP honors and was named an All-CIF First Team honoree.

After finishing his high school career Kimble attended College of the Canyons where he played under COC head coach Howard Fisher during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 campaigns. As a Cougar, Kimble earned All-WSC First Team honors in both seasons.

Kimble went on to play at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he helped the men’s basketball program achieve several program firsts.

Kimble was part of the school’s first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) tournament championship team. He also helped the Falcons earn a berth into the NCAA Division III men’s basketball tournament for the first time in school history, qualifying in back-to-back seasons. He also received All-WIAC Team honors as a senior.

Excited about his opportunity to help the Cougars and purse his love for teaching the game of basketball, Coach “BK” is looking forward to seeing his players grow both on and off the court.

He is also an assistant coach of the Playmaker’s youth travel basketball team.

Kimble earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration sports management from Columbia Southern University in 2016.
