The Lady Cougars outscored Cerritos 17-2 across 12 innings of play led by several standout performances.
The Lady Cougars (13-4, 1-0) scored six runs in the sixth vs. Glendale to help set up Rebecca Rodarte's game-winning run in the seventh.
Canyons (12-4) came from behind to take down El Camino College 10-8, then fell 11-7 to Cypress.
COC (11-3) has won nine of its last 10 games and entered the week ranked No. 8 in Southern California according to the most recent California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) poll released on Feb. 24.
The Lady Cougars (8-2) have won three straight doubleheaders, also taking games from Ventura and Cuesta College.
Canyons (6-2) won Gm 1 by a 4-1 final score then came back to take Gm 2 11-3 in five innings.
Canyons (2-1) has outscored opponents by a 17-0 margin over its last two outings.
