COC sophomore defensive back Bryan Mills is headed to North Carolina Central University in Durham.

COC sophomore defensive back Raeshawn Roland moves on to the University of Montana after earning all-conference and all-state team honors for the Cougars in 2018.

Harman, who earned All-SCFA First-Team honors as a sophomore, moves to Campbell University after a two-year Cougar career.

Speights was named both the conference and state 2018 Defensive Player of the Year award, in addition to earning All-American honors.

Brown, who attended COC in 2016 before playing two seasons at Oklahoma University, was the first wide receiver selected in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The 14 honorees produced by Canyons tops the class of 11 Cougar players who earned Scholar-Athlete honors in 2017.

Nacnac will move on to the NAIA program located in Dubuque, Iowa after a two-year career with the Cougars.

COC offensive tackle Justice Spates, quarterback Andrew Brito, defensive lineman Johnny Morrison III and defensive back Khalid Taylor each signed a National Letter of Intent during a brief ceremony in front of the college’s Hall of Fame wall on Wednesday.

COC kicker linebacker Tariq Speights and kicker Tanner Brown were named CCCFCA All-Americans, and were joined by quarterback Wyatt Eget, wide receiver Brandon Pierce and defensive back Raeshawn Roland on All-State team.

Canyons sophomores quarterback Wyatt Eget (University of Tennessee at Martin) and wide receiver Jarrin Pierce (Middle Tennessee State University) signed their NLIs during a ceremony at the college on Dec. 19.

Canyons freshman linebacker Tariq Speights finished the 2018 season with a team-best 76 total tackles, four sacks, eight tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception through 11 contests.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at Cougar Stadium.
